Dispensary Technician

About the role

Danone is seeking a Dispensary Technician to join the Production team at its Balclutha site in New Zealand. This hands‑on position supports safe and efficient manufacturing by preparing and organising ingredients for nutritional product formulations.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately transfer, weigh and measure ingredients using calibrated equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance to ensure precision and reliability.
• Prepare ingredients according to production schedules and formulation specifications.
• Maintain high standards of quality, food safety and HACCP compliance throughout the process.
• Document dispensary activities and ensure full procedural compliance.
• Coordinate stock levels with the warehouse and request materials as needed.
• Communicate with production and site teams to support continuous improvement.
• Promote and adhere to WISE Health & Safety principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable team player with strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to follow processes, manage workload efficiently and communicate across teams.
• Tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Microbiology, Science or related field (preferred).
• Knowledge of food or dairy hygiene practices and HACCP principles (advantageous).
