Director of Product Management

About the role

We are looking for a Director of Product Management to join Auror’s growing product team. You will help shape the strategy and execution of our retail‑crime reduction platform, working closely with two existing Directors and the Chief Product Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑manage a New Zealand‑based product management team of 15, providing strategic direction, mentorship and career growth.
• Lead commercial and strategic decisions across product lines, assessing market impact and competitive dynamics.
• Define and drive product strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission to cut violent retail crime by 50% in five years.
• Collaborate with design, engineering and cross‑functional teams to embed product managers within delivery squads.
• Monitor product performance, customer outcomes and iterate based on data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading product management teams in a technology‑focused environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate market trends into product roadmaps.
• Deep understanding of user needs, product usability and the importance of cross‑functional collaboration.
• Passion for using technology to solve real‑world problems, especially in retail security.
