Director of Power Electronics – AI Compute

About the role
Relectrify is building a disruptive battery energy‑storage platform and needs a senior leader to launch a brand‑new AI Compute branch of its CellSwitch™ Power platform. As Director of Power Electronics – AI Compute you will shape the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for high‑efficiency, high‑reliability power electronics that power AI data‑centre infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the technical strategy, architecture and development roadmap for AI‑focused power electronics.
- Lead the end‑to‑end process from concept, through prototype, validation and customer demonstration, to productisation.
- Build and mentor a new power‑electronics team, reporting to the Director of Innovation.
- Collaborate with the CTO, engineering, R&D, business‑development, external customers, partners and patent counsel.
- Monitor market trends in AI data‑centre power needs and feed insights back into platform and business strategy.
- Travel periodically to the Melbourne headquarters while working primarily in sync with APAC time zones.
Required profile
- Proven leader in power‑electronics development, comfortable making deep architecture decisions.
- Experience mentoring technical teams and shaping product roadmaps in high‑growth environments.
- Strong systems perspective across batteries, power conversion, control, safety and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to engage customers and external partners.
