DevOps Engineer - 12 Month Fixed Term

About the role

Join LIC's Enterprise Technology Team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to design, build, operate and continuously improve the cloud platforms that power the business. You will focus on AWS platform operations, governance, security and reliability while also supporting Azure and hybrid environments as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and uplift the AWS infrastructure, implementing guardrails, standards and access controls.
• Strengthen monitoring, observability, alerting and reporting across cloud and hybrid workloads.
• Automate manual processes, improve backup, recovery and resilience of critical services.
• Partner with Architecture, Security, Delivery and product teams to align roadmaps and standardise DevOps governance.
• Champion DevSecOps best practices and a security‑first mindset throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• Proactive, adaptable engineer with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Hands‑on experience managing enterprise‑scale cloud platforms.
• Ability to work across multiple teams and drive operational excellence.
