Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a people‑focused IT professional who enjoys solving problems and keeping technology running smoothly for our staff and business partners. As a Desktop Support Engineer you will play a key role in delivering reliable end‑user services across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop, laptop, mobile device and application support to end users.
• Respond to, investigate and resolve incidents and service requests.
• Set up, deploy and maintain end‑user technology, including onboarding, off‑boarding and equipment refreshes.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes and document solutions.
• Create and maintain knowledge articles and documentation.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and participate in an on‑call roster when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in desktop support, service desk or end‑user computing.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
• Interest in continuous learning and improvement.

Required skills

• Microsoft desktop technologies.
• Collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint).
