Desk Assistant – NZD FX (Middle Office)

About the role

The Desk Assistant – NZD FX supports the brokerage team by capturing and processing FX forward trades. Working within the Middle Office, you will ensure accurate trade entry, timely client confirmations, and smooth coordination with third‑party systems.

Key responsibilities

• Enter FX forward trades into front‑end trade capture systems and ensure timely processing.
• Deliver trade confirmations to clients via electronic mechanisms such as Order Management System (OMS) or email.
• Resolve delivery issues by liaising with third‑party vendors, operations services, and brokers.
• Maintain accurate trade records in the OMS and oversee clearing and reporting of errors or defaults.
• Cross‑check incoming confirmations against booked details and update agreements as needed.
• Monitor client balances, notify brokers of rate caps, and assist with static data updates.
• Review exception brokerage reports and validate variances.
• Provide cross‑training to new staff and keep brokerage lists up to date.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills for interacting with brokers, clients, and internal teams.
• Experience in a middle‑office or trade support environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Order Management System (OMS) and trade capture platforms.
• Familiarity with FX forward trade processing.
