Day Crew – Summer Cruise Position in Doubtful Sound

About the role

Join RealNZ’s close‑knit team for a summer adventure on the waters of Doubtful Sound and Lake Manapouri. As a Day Crew member you will split your time between deck duties and hospitality, delivering unforgettable experiences to guests while keeping the vessel in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with ropes, mooring, and general vessel maintenance.
• Serve food and beverages, operate the bar, and attend to guest needs.
• Welcome passengers, provide information about Fiordland, and ensure safety on board.
• Collaborate with fellow crew members to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

Required profile

• Positive, can‑do attitude with a genuine love for the outdoors.
• Valid working visa covering the entire employment period.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal transport to the Manapouri base.
• Availability to work weekends throughout the summer season.

Required skills

• Experience in hospitality, food & beverage service, or customer‑facing roles.
• Basic maritime knowledge or willingness to learn deck operations.
