Datapay Consultant – Technical Support Specialist

About the role

The Datapay Consultant provides high‑quality technical support to Datacom’s Datapay Direct clients, helping them maximise the value of the payroll software. You will be the primary point of contact for troubleshooting, configuration, and upgrade assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical support via phone, email, and ticketing systems for payroll processing, tax calculations, reporting, and integrations.
• Guide clients through software configurations, upgrades, and customisations.
• Document all interactions and troubleshooting steps accurately in the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with Development and Product Management to escalate complex issues and contribute to product improvements.
• Ensure health and safety compliance by reporting incidents and hazards according to Datacom policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Accounting, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• 2‑3 years of experience in technical support, preferably within payroll software.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing software‑related issues.
• Experience with software debugging tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with payroll software concepts.
