Data/AI/ML Engineer

About the role

Woolworths Group is seeking a Data/AI/ML Engineer to build and maintain next‑generation data infrastructure. You will design scalable dimensional models, manage cloud platforms, and automate development workflows to deliver secure, high‑quality data for analytics and AI agents.

Key responsibilities

• Architect clean, robust data environments using advanced dimensional modeling for analytics and LLM interpretability.
• Build and support modular ingestion pipelines that transform raw data into consumption‑ready products.
• Lead GCP and GitHub environments as technical owner, handling infrastructure‑as‑code and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate AI tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Create APIs and data products enabling autonomous agents and conversational interfaces to query the platform.
• Ensure data integrity, enforce code standards, and monitor platform performance and security.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in modern data warehousing and dimensional modeling.
• Hands‑on experience building agentic workflows and AI‑driven automation.
• Curious, growth‑oriented mindset with a disciplined engineering approach.
