About the role

Join Partly’s Applied ML and DataQA teams as a Data Science Intern in Christchurch. You will work on real‑world parts data, investigating why validation, ordering and automatching challenges arise and how they impact the business.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and clean messy parts datasets to uncover root causes of quality issues.
• Help quantify problem types by breaking broad issues into measurable categories.
• Measure where data quality is lost and estimate the frequency and impact of each issue.
• Develop lightweight analysis tools and scripts to support product decisions.
• Collaborate with mentors to turn findings into actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Early‑career student or graduate eager to learn by doing.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and asking probing questions.
• Motivated to see your analysis directly influence product improvements.
