Data Integration Lead – Azure, Boomi, MuleSoft, and Solace

About the role

We are seeking an Integration Tech Lead to join a leading IT Architecture & Integration consultancy in New Zealand. You will guide blue‑chip clients through the design and delivery of enterprise integration solutions, ensuring best‑practice implementation across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design integration solutions based on high‑level business and technical requirements.
• Lead development teams working with MuleSoft, Boomi, Apache Camel, Workato and related technologies.
• Translate business needs into solution designs, RAML specifications and Mule flows, selecting appropriate connectors and implementing robust error‑handling and security.
• Support architects by creating blueprints and detailed technical specifications.
• Ensure solutions adhere to established standards, consistency and compliance.
• Champion automated testing, including unit and integration tests, and enforce performance and security best practices.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to integration developers and testers.
• Collaborate with business analysts and clients to clarify requirements and break work into actionable stories.
• Drive team progress, maintain development velocity and meet project goals.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a senior integration developer or team lead.
• Strong understanding of SOA, REST, API management, MFT, ETL and messaging concepts.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and exceed client expectations.
• Experience in solution architecture or consulting is advantageous.
