Data Engineer – Lead Data Platform & Products

About the role

ZURU is looking for a Data Engineer to lead its data platform and data products teams across Toys, Tech, and Edge divisions. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery of a modern data stack, ensuring rapid, measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Data Platform (Databricks lakehouse, AWS SSO, Fivetran connectors, orchestration).
• Lead a hands‑on team, conducting architecture decisions, code and design reviews, and technical mentorship.
• Drive the Data Products team to ship weekly, high‑impact data solutions that save time and improve decisions.
• Establish governance, dev/prod separation, and maintain >99.5% platform uptime.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify blockers and prioritize quick wins.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data engineering teams in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to make rapid, data‑driven decisions.
• Hands‑on mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
