Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer you will support, maintain and enhance the systems that store, process and retrieve the Bank's data products. You will help deliver two new data collections, work alongside senior engineers and ensure the platform evolves to meet changing business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support, maintenance and enhancements for data storage and processing systems.
• Assist in the delivery of new data collections and integrate them into existing pipelines.
• Implement changes, resolve defects, apply upgrades and add new data sets post‑delivery.
• Collaborate with the Operations Group to evolve data‑engineering practices using appropriate frameworks and tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, both normalized and dimensional.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL, Snowflake, dbt and end‑to‑end ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience working in Azure cloud environments.
• Background supporting analytics platforms and creating curated datasets for Power BI.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, Git version control, CI/CD pipelines and the full software development lifecycle.
