Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Wellington‑based team. Working within the Microsoft Azure stack, you will design, build and maintain data pipelines and warehouses that support our health‑sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure SQL Database and MS SQL Server.
• Write and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures and data transformation scripts.
• Automate data ingestion and processing with Python, PowerShell and .NET.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support client‑facing data projects and help shape our products and services.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of commercial experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and intellectual curiosity.
• Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
