About the role

Join the Leo Security team and help protect a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that deliver high‑speed broadband to underserved communities. You will work in a start‑up‑like environment backed by Amazon infrastructure, driving security for mission‑critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Establish product‑specific security standards, threat models, and priorities.
• Identify design and implementation defects and provide security consultation to product teams.
• Collaborate with business leaders to define and measure security execution.
• Assess technical debt and risk, leading the reduction of long‑term vulnerabilities.
• Invent or propose secure‑by‑default solutions when none exist.
• Leverage automation and testing tools to discover and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Enable builder teams to adopt security linting, static analysis, and self‑sufficient security practices.
• Mentor developers through 1‑on‑1 sessions and office hours to foster a security culture.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee (export‑control requirement).
• Strong understanding of security principles and ability to work across product and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills for advising and mentoring technical staff.
