Data Center IT Technician – Data Centre Operations

About the role

You will install, configure and troubleshoot the IT infrastructure that powers the AWS cloud. Working closely with engineering and logistics teams, you will keep data‑center servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment operating reliably on a shift basis.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair issues on server, storage and network devices, including physical part replacement.
• Remediate or recover physical power problems on racks and support power & cooling events.
• Perform shift work (4 days on, 4 days off) with rotating night shifts.
• Lift and rack equipment using approved lifting tools.
• Travel between sites using a personal vehicle; maintain a valid driver’s licence.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift and rack equipment safely.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle for site travel.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights.
• Experience as a server or network technician in a data‑center environment.

• Server hardware installation and maintenance.
• Network device configuration and troubleshooting.
• Storage device handling and repair.
• Power and cooling system knowledge.
• Hardware troubleshooting and part replacement.
