Dairy Production Manager (2IC) – Organic Farm

About the role

Join Tongariro Organic Dairy as a Production Manager (2IC) and help lead a modern, organic dairy operation. You will work closely with the Farm Manager, stepping in to oversee the team and ensure smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement farm plans and manage feed allocation, animal health, breeding and record‑keeping.
• Support the team on‑the‑ground, performing hands‑on tasks as needed.
• Take full responsibility for farm operations on the Farm Manager’s day off.
• Maintain high standards of animal welfare, health and safety.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with a passion for dairy farming and a desire to develop leadership skills.
• Proven experience in dairy grazing, animal health and pasture management.
• Commitment to personal and team development.
• Current full NZ driver’s licence and experience operating farm machinery or tractors.
