Cybersecurity Architect – Technology Consulting

About the role

Join EY's growing cyber team to help organisations navigate complex threats and build resilient operations. As a Cybersecurity Architect you will design, build and oversee security postures across cloud and on‑premises environments, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security architectures for large‑scale ICT environments, including cloud‑native, hybrid networks and SaaS solutions.
• Identify and assess security risks, conduct threat modelling and define mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as APRA, NIST CSF, ISO 27005, PCI‑DSS, GDPR, ISM and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Define and maintain security standard patterns and advise project, development and infrastructure teams.
• Evaluate and recommend security tooling (firewalls, IAM integrations, vulnerability discovery systems).
• Communicate security concepts and architectures to technical staff and senior business leaders.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, engineering or risk management within complex, large‑scale environments.
• Experience designing secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure or GCP) and securing modern cloud applications.
• Strong technical knowledge of network security protocols, cryptography, identity management and application security.
