About the role

Join a busy government agency’s high‑volume inbound contact centre in Palmerston North. As a Customer Service Representative you will provide accurate information, resolve queries and deliver a professional, empathetic experience to the public.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound phone calls from members of the public.
• Provide accurate information and resolve customer queries.
• Log interactions in internal systems and maintain detailed records.
• Navigate multiple systems quickly while handling high‑pace call volumes.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate specialist teams.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous customer‑service experience in a call centre, hospitality, retail, reception or similar environment.
• Calm, empathetic and solutions‑focused approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Flexibility to work across a 7‑day roster, including weekends.
