Customer Service Officer – Part Time

About the role

Join NZ Post’s vibrant team in Queenstown as a part‑time Customer Service Officer. Working from the Ballarat Street office, you will be the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries in‑person and over the phone while promoting the organisation’s products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the front counter, ensuring high satisfaction.
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails and resolve customer queries promptly.
• Provide information about NZ Post’s offerings and suggest appropriate solutions.
• Sort and organise parcels, including occasional heavy lifting.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and share feedback with management.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer‑facing role, retail or mail/parcel handling.
• Available to work the specified part‑time schedule (Mon 11:30‑17:45, Thu & Fri 7:30‑10:30, Sat 8:45‑12:15).
• Reliable transport to arrive on time.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and confidence interacting with diverse people.
