Customer Experience Zone Team Member

About the role

Join Mitre 10 Waihi as a Customer Experience Zone Team Member and help deliver a smooth, friendly checkout experience for DIY shoppers. This part‑time position involves 23.5 hours per week with flexible rostering, including one weekend day.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient service at the checkout, ensuring each customer leaves satisfied.
• Process transactions accurately, handling cash, cards and other payment methods.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well‑presented checkout area.
• Assist the wider store team during busy periods, including floor duties as needed.

Required profile

• Positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Strong attention to detail when handling transactions.
• Flexibility to work across the store and adapt to varying shift times.
• Physical fitness to stand for long periods and lift items safely.
• Availability between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, including one weekend day.
