Customer Billing Specialist

About the role

Join NZ Post’s Finance Operations team in Wellington Central and help deliver accurate, timely billing for our internal and external customers. You will support the Customer Billing function, resolve billing queries and adjustments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process and support daily customer billing activities.
• Investigate and resolve billing queries and adjustments efficiently.
• Ensure billing information is accurate and delivered on time to enable prompt payment.
• Collaborate closely with the Credit Control team to meet key targets.
• Identify and support process‑improvement projects that enhance billing accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist other Finance Operations roles as needed to achieve team objectives.

Required profile

• Strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent phone manner, attention to detail and a team‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, quick to learn new tasks and systems.
• Comfortable using a variety of systems and processes.
• Experience in a large, customer‑centric organisation is advantageous.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable or customer billing is a plus but not essential.
