Credit and Receivables Assistant

Franklin Vets is a well‑established veterinary practice supporting communities across South Auckland, North Waikato, Coromandel and the Hauraki Plains. We’re looking for a Credit and Receivables Assistant to join our Support Office team in Pukekohe.

Key responsibilities

• Receipting and allocating customer payments accurately.
• Assisting with invoicing, including the VIP Care programme.
• Supporting credit control activities and following up outstanding accounts.
• Responding to account and payment queries.
• Working with clinic teams to investigate and resolve account issues.
• Communicating with external clients, from farmers and rural businesses to companion‑animal owners.
• Completing general finance administration and data entry.
• Maintaining accurate customer and account information.
• Providing support across the wider finance team as required.

Required profile

• Have an accounting or finance qualification, are working towards one, or have relevant practical accounting experience.
• Understand core accounting principles and are comfortable working with numbers.
• Exhibit excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident using systems and handling financial data.
• Communicate professionally and positively, especially when following up overdue accounts.
• Build good working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Organised, proactive, reliable and able to manage competing priorities.
