About the role
Airlab Limited is seeking a Controlled Environment Engineer to lead indoor air quality investigations and certify critical environments such as operating theatres, cleanrooms, safety cabinets and containment facilities across New Zealand.
Key responsibilities
- Test and certify air quality of operating theatres and clean rooms.
- Conduct Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) investigations and interpret results.
- Validate safety cabinets, HEPA filters, compressed air systems and related equipment to meet standards and Airlab’s accreditation scope.
- Produce detailed, accurate reports for clients.
- Manage IAQ instrumentation and provide technical advice to clients.
- Maintain professional relationships and adhere to company safety requirements.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years experience in cleanroom certification or air‑quality testing.
- Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
- Positive, self‑motivated work ethic and physical fitness for equipment handling.
- Full driver’s licence and willingness to work occasional overtime.
