Consultant / Senior Consultant – Strategy & Business Design

About the role

Deloitte’s Strategy & Business Design team in Wellington is seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to help leading New Zealand organisations solve complex strategic challenges. You will work alongside experienced directors and partners, engaging directly with client executives to shape growth, performance and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of consultants to address high‑impact client problems.
• Interact directly with senior client leaders across diverse industries to uncover strategic issues.
• Develop actionable insights that drive growth, improve performance and create sustainable competitive advantage.
• Own project work‑streams, deliver high‑quality outputs and mentor junior team members.
• Build trusted client relationships by delivering value and identifying further business opportunities.
• Contribute to business development through thought leadership and support for client engagements.

Required profile

• 2+ years of proven experience managing and delivering consulting projects.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in high‑performance teams.
