About the role
Join Rural Directions as a Conservation Ranger and help protect 1,455 ha of diverse farm landscape, including 150 ha of QEII Covenant forest, wetlands and waterways. This full‑time, on‑site position offers a unique blend of rural lifestyle and meaningful conservation work.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor conservation projects across the farm property.
- Maintain and restore native habitats, forests, wetlands and waterways.
- Conduct wildlife surveys and record ecological data.
- Ensure compliance with QEII Covenant protections and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with landowners, contractors and community groups.
Required profile
- Strong passion for conservation and sustainability.
- Experience working in farming, wildlife or environmental settings.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Physical fitness for field work and site inspections.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
