About the role
The Compliance Advisor will work closely with industry stakeholders to ensure that energy‑using products meet New Zealand’s regulatory standards. Based in Wellington, this permanent position focuses on delivering practical compliance outcomes for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret and apply the Energy Using Products Regulations to a range of commercial products.
- Engage with manufacturers, importers and distributors to facilitate compliance activities.
- Develop and deliver guidance, tools and practical solutions that support industry adherence.
- Monitor compliance trends and report on regulatory performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve regulatory processes.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the energy or product safety sector.
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with industry and government stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance projects.
Required skills
- Knowledge of New Zealand’s Energy Using Products Regulations.
- Familiarity with compliance monitoring and reporting tools.
