Company Meat Inspector

About the role

The Company Meat Inspector will work in the Primary Butchery department at Silver Fern Farms’ Pareora processing site, performing carcass and off‑al inspection to ensure our red‑meat products meet the highest quality and customer standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out carcass and offal inspections in the Primary Butchery department.
• Verify that product quality complies with stringent customer and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Hold a Level 4 National Certificate in Animal Product Examination or Level 4 AsureQuality Trained (Meat Inspection) in lamb (preferably beef).
• Understanding of food manufacturing compliance and health & safety standards.
• Willingness to work day or evening shifts.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand and be at least 18 years old.
