About the role
Ember is seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to assist whānau, parents and rangatahi in Penrose, Auckland. You will provide wellbeing support, help families thrive, and contribute to community development initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalised support services to families and young people.
- Facilitate access to community resources, education and health services.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and outcomes.
- Collaborate with local partners to coordinate support programmes.
- Promote cultural safety and respect for Māori values in all activities.
Required profile
- Strong commitment to community wellbeing and cultural competence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to use a work vehicle.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required; basic computer literacy is sufficient.
What we offer
- Competitive hourly rate of $25.63‑$30.70 (NZD).
- Allocated work vehicle, phone and laptop.
- Two extra leave days plus five study days each year.
