Commercial Relationship Manager

About the role

ANZ is hiring a Commercial Relationship Manager in Hastings (New Zealand) within its Business Banking division. The role develops, manages and grows a portfolio of business customers by building strong, long-term relationships and delivering tailored financial solutions. It is a permanent position with standard hours, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and grow profitable relationships within a portfolio of business customers.
• Understand customers' business needs and provide proactive, tailored solutions.
• Promote value-added materials, workshops and specialist support (internal and external).
• Grow the customer portfolio while keeping strong ties with long-standing clients.
• Strengthen ANZ Business' market presence through networking and clear demonstration of value.
• Collaborate with teams across Business and the wider bank to support customers.
• Deliver excellent customer service to build lasting professional networks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in relationship management, business development and/or portfolio or account management.
• Previous experience in banking, finance or accounting is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Established networking capability and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
