Commercial Manager – Business Advisor Channel

About the role

Kiwibank is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join its Business Advisor channel. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality credit decisions across home loans, personal lending, and business/commercial applications, helping local businesses thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Make timely credit decisions using delegated lending authority.
• Partner with Business Advisors and internal stakeholders to design sustainable lending solutions.
• Manage expectations and ensure a consistent flow of quality lending outcomes.
• Balance risk and opportunity while building long‑term relationships across the bank.
• Maintain compliance with financial legislation and banking regulations.

Required profile

• Strong practical experience in credit analysis and risk assessment, especially in business and commercial lending.
• Proven relationship‑management abilities with a focus on client growth.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
• Solid understanding of financial legislation and compliance requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality and customer focus.
