Commercial Finance Manager

About the role

This position offers an experienced finance professional the chance to lead commercial finance activities for an export‑driven manufacturing business based in Auckland. You will partner with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to provide insight that drives profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to improve profitability of customers, products and brands.
• Lead budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long‑term strategic planning.
• Own commercial reporting for Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain.
• Analyse pricing, volume, margin, cost and product‑mix performance.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support key decisions.
• Lead product costing, inventory reporting and working‑capital analysis.
• Improve and automate planning, reporting and forecasting processes.
• Manage, coach and develop direct reports.
• Contribute to wider strategic projects and business initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance or Accounting; CA qualification preferred.
• Strong commercial finance and business‑partnering experience, preferably in an export‑driven manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading FP&A, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong relationship‑building and cross‑functional leadership skills.
