Commercial Farm Management Specialist (FMS)

About the role

As a Commercial Farm Management Specialist you will work with dairy farmers across the South Island, helping them maximise productivity and sustainability using Lely’s automated milking robots, calf feeding systems, feed pushers and manure cleaning robots. The role blends commercial responsibility with hands‑on farm management advice, building long‑term relationships and continuously optimising the customer journey.

Key responsibilities

• Support dairy farms in adopting and optimising Lely automation solutions.
• Provide practical farm‑management guidance and commercial advice.
• Analyse farm data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Present solutions, negotiate terms and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes both on‑site and remotely.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless farmer support.

Required profile

• Experience in dairy farming, feeding or farm management.
• Customer‑focused commercial mindset.
• Strong advisory and communication abilities.
• Confidence presenting solutions and negotiating outcomes.
• Proactive communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to develop through structured learning programmes.
