Cohort and Assessment Manager (Age 50 Phase)

About the role
The Christchurch Health and Development Study is seeking a Cohort and Assessment Manager to lead the Age 50 assessment phase. This part‑time role (0.5 FTE) will ensure smooth daily operations, maintain participant engagement, and support the wider research team.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily assessment operations and coordinate participant scheduling and communication.
- Arrange travel, accommodation and reimbursements for participants.
- Support interviewer rostering and manage assessment logistics.
- Act as primary contact for study members and liaise with external investigators.
- Assist with general coordination tasks such as meetings, website updates, and media/social media management.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in a relevant science or health‑related field.
- Significant experience coordinating complex, university‑based research projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex logistical processes.
- Familiarity with university research environments.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and effective communication.

What we offer
- Fixed‑term (two‑year) contract, part‑time (0.5 FTE).
- Annual salary range $75,631 – $80,503 (top of range $88,750 pro rata) in NZD.
