Cluster Director of Talent & Culture

About the role

The Cluster Director of Talent & Culture will lead the people strategy for Rosewood’s three iconic New Zealand properties – Rosewood Cape Kidnappers, Kauri Cliffs and Matakauri. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape a world‑class employee experience that reflects the luxury brand and drives organisational excellence across the cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive talent management strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
• Advise the Managing Director and property leaders on organisational design, leadership coaching and all people‑related matters.
• Design innovative talent acquisition, performance management and succession planning programmes to build a robust leadership pipeline.
• Lead the Talent & Culture teams across the three hotels, overseeing seasonal recruitment and associate accommodation.
• Champion culture through initiatives that boost employee engagement, wellbeing and diversity & inclusion.
• Use data and analytics to diagnose issues, forecast trends and measure the impact of talent initiatives.
• Oversee HR operations and compliance, ensuring high‑quality service delivery at each location.

Required profile

• 8 + years of strategic HR leadership experience.
• Strong appreciation for luxury or high‑service environments, preferably hospitality.
• Proven business acumen with a results‑driven approach.
• Track record of developing and implementing successful talent strategies.
• Inspirational leader and trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
