Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

Holmes Solutions is looking for a Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to take full ownership of its Azure environment. This hands‑on role involves designing cloud architecture, managing migrations, and overseeing day‑to‑day administration while shaping the future of our technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage the Azure cloud environment end‑to‑end.
• Partner with leadership to make critical infrastructure decisions.
• Evolve cloud architecture to ensure scalability, resilience, and future‑readiness.
• Harden and maintain the underlying network infrastructure.
• Apply sound engineering judgement in complex or uncharted situations.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on experience with Azure architecture, migration and administration.
• Proven track record solving complex infrastructure problems.
• Strong networking fundamentals with practical experience in routing, switching, firewalling, VPN, DNS, load balancing and TLS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and scripting tools such as Terraform, Python and PowerShell.
• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized and a collaborative team player.
