Class 5 Truck Driver – Auckland

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join Hayes Metals in Onehunga, Auckland. The role involves Monday‑to‑Friday deliveries across the Auckland region, handling a variety of loads such as flat decks, hook bins and skip bins. You will enjoy a stable schedule with no weekend work and a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 5 trucks safely to transport flat decks, hook bins and skip bins to designated sites.
• Load, secure and unload cargo in accordance with company safety standards.
• Plan and follow daily routes, ensuring timely deliveries while complying with traffic regulations.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate with dispatch as needed.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 driver licence.
• Strong knowledge of Auckland road networks and local traffic rules.
• Ability to work independently and follow a fixed Monday‑to‑Friday schedule.
• Good physical fitness for handling loading tasks.
