Civil Designer – Ports & Coastal

About the role

Beca is seeking an experienced Civil Designer to join its Maritime team in Auckland. You will work on technically challenging projects such as coastal protection structures, port infrastructure, and marine precinct developments, delivering high‑quality design solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed design deliverables for ports and coastal projects.
• Coordinate drawings and models across multidisciplinary teams.
• Set up and manage Common Data Environments (CDEs) to ensure consistent documentation.
• Support senior engineers and guide junior designers or drafters.
• Contribute to project delivery and client service excellence.

Required profile

• Motivated, detail‑oriented Civil Designer with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Mid‑career level with a qualification in Civil Engineering or Design.
• Proactive mindset, able to prioritize work and collaborate effectively.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Expertise in Civil 3D.
• Exposure to Revit is advantageous.
• Experience using Common Data Environments (CDEs) for multidisciplinary drawing sets.
