Chief Executive Officer

About the role

CAP is seeking an experienced, faith‑filled Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation into its next season of impact and growth. Reporting to the Board, you will provide strategic, organisational and spiritual leadership to fulfil CAP’s vision of ending money chaos in Aotearoa.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of CAP’s strategic priorities, ensuring long‑term sustainability, impact and innovation.
• Foster a Christ‑centred culture where people flourish and leadership reflects humility, integrity, service and faith.
• Build and strengthen relationships with churches, supporters, partners and communities, representing CAP with credibility.
• Champion financial sustainability through strong stewardship, generosity and strategic funding partnerships.
• Partner with the Board to achieve CAP’s vision while ensuring effective governance, risk management and organisational performance.

Required profile

• Significant executive leadership experience, preferably as a CEO or senior executive.
• Proven track record of leading organisational growth, change and strategy.
• Strong commitment to the Christian faith and passion for CAP’s mission.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Experience working with boards and governance structures.
• Financial and commercial acumen.
• Servant‑hearted leadership style characterised by authenticity, humility and courage.
