Casual Programme Assistant - Ohope

About the role

sKids, part of Junior Adventures Group, is looking for a Casual Programme Assistant in Ohope. You will be the friendly face of the afternoon and/or after-school programme, working mainly in the afternoons (2.30pm to 6.00pm, with possible variation in finish times). Availability from 2.30pm is essential. The role is a reliever position, rostered on an "as required" basis, and school holiday programmes (7am to 6pm) may also be available.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support children in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keep the spaces tidy, clean and welcoming for children
• Help the Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions
• Notice any issues with behaviour, wellbeing or safety and share them with the manager

Required profile

• Right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship)
• Able to reach the Ohope site by reliable transport and/or a vehicle
• Enthusiasm for working with children, from babysitting to coaching to volunteering
• Reliable and energetic
