Casual Programme Assistant - Invercargill

About the role

sKids, part of Junior Adventures Group, creates out-of-school experiences for children across New Zealand. As a Casual Programme Assistant in Invercargill you will be the friendly face of the afternoon or after-school sessions, working mainly in the afternoons (2.30pm to 6.00pm, with possible variation in finish times). Availability from 2.30pm is essential. It is a reliever role, rostered on an as-required basis, with potential school holiday programme hours also available.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support children in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keep the spaces tidy, clean and welcoming for children
• Help the Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions
• Notice any issues with behaviour, wellbeing or safety and share them with the manager

Required profile

• Right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship)
• Able to get to Windsor North and Waihopai site(s) reliably by public transport and/or own vehicle
• Enthusiasm for working with children, from babysitting to coaching to volunteering
• Reliable and energetic
