Capital Works Operator – Construction Projects

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Capital Works Operator to join its Queenstown site. You will support the delivery of construction projects across water, waste and energy infrastructure, ensuring safe and timely completion of capital works.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the capital works team on‑site to meet project schedules and quality standards.
• Execute all phases of capital works projects, from set‑up to handover.
• Conduct risk assessments and apply safety measures to maintain a zero‑harm environment.
• Coordinate with the Team Lead, contractors and internal departments to ensure clear communication.
• Maintain accurate on‑site documentation and project records.

Required profile

• Relevant hands‑on trade experience, preferably in drain laying or construction.
• Exposure to water or wastewater industry and basic understanding of treatment processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, building strong relationships with colleagues and contractors.
• Motivation, attention to detail and a focus on excellent customer service.
