Campground Manager

About the role

Peketā Campground is upgrading its core facilities and needs a hands‑on Campground Manager to lead the small on‑site team. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, ensuring guests enjoy a safe, clean and welcoming coastal retreat.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise a small team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage bookings, administration and overall business operations.
• Oversee site maintenance, cleaning and general upkeep.
• Perform hands‑on tasks as required, including occasional night shifts.
• Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met.
• Work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays, as part of a rostered schedule.

Required profile

• Previous experience managing or operating a business, preferably in a campground, hospitality or accommodation setting.
• Experience in financial management of a business.
• Strong guest service orientation and proven ability to lead a team.
• Practical, proactive and comfortable solving day‑to‑day operational problems.
