Café Supervisor – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Café Supervisor to lead the onsite café at The Sands in Browns Bay. You will help reimagine retirement and aged‑care living by delivering a warm, efficient hospitality experience for residents, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day café operations, maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment.
• Ensure consistent delivery of excellent customer service to residents, visitors and staff.
• Implement and uphold all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
• Hold a current manager’s certificate and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and wider village teams to provide high‑standard food, beverage and hospitality services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within hospitality, café or customer‑service settings.
• Strong team leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to inclusivity and teamwork.
• Ability to multitask, prioritise and find solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Full working rights in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Current manager’s certificate.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
