About the role

Join the vibrant community hub at Summerset’s Kenepuru Village as a Café Assistant. You’ll be the friendly face that serves great coffee, tasty meals, and a warm smile to residents, families, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, present, and serve food and beverages to a high standard.
• Provide outstanding barista services, including coffee brewing and machine maintenance.
• Assist with catering for village events and resident functions.
• Handle cash transactions and reconcile daily takings.
• Collaborate with the Chef Manager, Café Supervisor, and wider village team to ensure a consistent, welcoming café experience.

Required profile

• Warm, positive attitude with a genuine love for people.
• Previous hospitality or café experience.
• Superb barista skills.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
