C++ Software Engineer – Hybrid (Wellington, UK)

About the role

Our client, a growing technology organisation, is looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join its Research & Development team in Wellington, Somerset. The role involves developing, maintaining and supporting a range of software applications, internal tools and APIs, with opportunities to work on cloud‑based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C++ software applications.
• Build, test and support software releases.
• Create and sustain internal tools, web‑based applications and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver business‑critical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and enhance existing applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best‑practice development processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months of commercial C++ development experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Passion for software development and emerging technologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
