Business Systems Specialist

About the role
The Business Systems Specialist will join the Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery team to provide technical expertise for our CRM and case‑management platforms. Working closely with colleagues, system users, vendors and stakeholders, you will ensure business systems operate efficiently, remain well‑integrated and deliver value to the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor business systems to keep them running smoothly.
- Collaborate with other technical experts to diagnose and resolve system faults.
- Proactively review systems to minimise outages and improve reliability.
- Provide expert advice on complex problems, influencing design and integration decisions.
- Support the technical direction of CRM and case‑management solutions, including data exchange and search tools.
- Utilise Azure DevOps for development and administration tasks.
Required profile
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with a knack for innovative problem‑solving.
- Broad understanding of business systems and experience working with multiple ICT suppliers.
- Experience with web‑based and CRM‑based business systems.
- Sound judgement in ICT projects and programmes, and up‑to‑date knowledge of IT standards such as ITIL, SDLC and Agile.
- Excellent relationship management, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to simplify and convey complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience resolving business system faults and supporting case‑management, CRM, search and data‑exchange tools.
