Business Development Manager – Remote (NZ)

About the role

Fat Zebra is seeking a self‑motivated Business Development Manager to expand its presence in New Zealand. This fully remote position will manage a strategic banking partnership while also identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across the NZ payments market.

Key responsibilities

• Own the account management of a strategic banking partner, supporting their sales and executive teams.
• Act as a trusted commercial partner, strengthening collaboration between Fat Zebra and the bank.
• Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities throughout New Zealand.
• Work with internal stakeholders to design solutions using the full suite of Fat Zebra products.
• Support partner‑led opportunities through technical and commercial discussions with merchants and platforms.
• Present strategic business cases to drive new features, investments and partnership proposals.
• Represent Fat Zebra within the NZ payments ecosystem, building relationships with merchants, partners and industry stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experienced payments professional with a consultative sales approach.
• Strong ability to build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders.
• Self‑driven, comfortable working autonomously in a remote environment.
• Proven track record of driving partner‑led opportunities and generating new business.
• Excellent communication skills to guide customers through complex payment solutions.
