Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to drive new‑business growth for a leading technology and insights organisation. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract handover, and work closely with onboarding and client success teams to ensure seamless customer transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and secure profitable client contracts.
• Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, closing, and handover.
• Target key decision‑makers within prospective organisations and conduct consultative sales conversations.
• Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outbound activity.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and opportunity management within Salesforce.
• Collaborate with onboarding and client success teams for smooth new‑customer transitions.
• Contribute to overall business growth through strategic sales planning and execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B consultative sales or business development.
• Track record of generating new business and consistently meeting sales targets.
• Experience selling SaaS, media, technology, or insights solutions (highly desirable).
• Strong prospecting and lead‑generation skills with a hunter mentality.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Consultative approach to solving client business challenges.
• Strong negotiation and closing capabilities.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, including marketing and communications leaders.
• Positive, resilient, and adaptable attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
