Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new‑logo revenue for a well‑established New Zealand‑owned technology services provider. The role focuses on selling managed services, Microsoft 365, Azure, on‑premises infrastructure and cyber security solutions to organisations across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Generate, progress and close new business opportunities.
• Build a pipeline through cold calling, outbound prospecting, networking and targeted account activity.
• Consistently achieve a minimum of eight qualified meetings per month.
• Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles from discovery to close.
• Collaborate with technical teams to shape solutions that meet customer needs.
• Present service benefits, commercial value and technical capability to customers.
• Contribute to proposals, tenders and customer presentations.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasting and pipeline visibility.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience within an MSP or technology services environment.
• Strong outbound prospecting and cold‑calling skills.
• Track record of generating self‑sourced pipeline and winning new‑logo customers.
• Experience selling recurring‑revenue or managed services solutions.
• Commercially disciplined, resilient and comfortable being measured on activity, pipeline and revenue.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with technical and delivery teams.
